Scotland, 1977. Kim McLaren never imagined that returning to her family’s beloved farm would mean fighting to keep it.
Rowandene farm has been passed down the McLaren family for generations. But after her father is taken ill, it’s up to Kim to take the reins.
Now she’s under pressure to sell from the estate’s new owner, Daniel Nichol. Vet Daniel has no interest in farming and wants his land vacant of tenants. But Kim won’t let go of her family legacy that easily.
As Kim single-handedly runs the farm while her father recovers, Daniel begins to soften as he sees how much Rowandene means to her. And when one of Kim’s calves gets into difficulty it’s Daniel who comes to her aid.
Then tragedy strikes the estate, and both Kim and Daniel begin to realise there is more to unite them than divide them.
