Il testo affronta il tema della nave intesa come sintesi di una pluralità di aspetti: dalle valenze fortemente simboliche, legate ad un elemento visto storicamente come extra-ordinario, a quelle contemporanee in cui un mezzo navale è interpretabile come un sistema complesso per la cui realizzazione e gestione convergono competenze tecnico scientifiche eterogenee e fortemente specialistiche.
Vengono così analizzate criticamente le evoluzioni tecniche che hanno permesso lo sviluppo dei primi progetti realizzati con approccio scientifico, fino ad arrivare ai modelli digitali ed interattivi contemporanei, attraverso la lettura critica delle diverse fasi progettuali intese come espressioni di linguaggi figurativi differenti.
The text addresses the theme of the ship as a synthesis of a plurality of aspects: from the strongly symbolic values linked to an element historically seen as extra-ordinary to contemporary ones in which a naval medium is interpretable as a system Complex for whose realization and man gement converge heterogeneous and highly specialised technical scientific competences. It is therefore critically analyzed the technical evolution that allowed the development of the first projects realized with scientific approach until reaching the contemporary digital and interactive models, reading the project phases as expressions of different figurative languages.
