Jack Cates è da tempo sulle tracce di un boss della droga che si fa chiamare Iceman. Durante un conflitto a fuoco con un gruppo di sicari di Iceman, Cates ne uccide uno. E da quel momento iniziano i guai per il poliziotto. Infatti le prove che il sicario ucciso fosse effettivamente armato e pericoloso scompaiono durante l’inchiesta.
