Trama:
All’inizio del XIX secolo, durante le guerre napoleoniche, un luogotenente ussaro dell’esercito francese, l’aristocratico Armand D’Hubert (Keith Carradine), riceve l’ordine di arrestare il tenente Feraud (Harvey Keitel) per aver partecipato ad un duello. Feraud, infuriato, sfiderà D’Hubert ancora e ancora per quindici anni.
