TRAMA
Il discorso del re è un film del 2010 ispirato alla storia vera del futuro re d’Inghilterra Giorgio VI, che, affetto da una severa balbuzie, cerca di risolvere il problema con uno specialista. Nonostante i numerosi percorsi terapeutici intentati dal principe Albert (Colin Firth), duca di York, secondo figlio di re Giorgio V, i risultati sono scoraggianti e il principe suscita forte imbarazzo durante le occasioni ufficiali. Fortunatamente, il suo ruolo istituzionale è limitato, essendo figlio cadetto: Albert decide quindi di rinunciare a tenere in futuro discorsi in pubblico.
