Licia è una ragazza che lavora al Mambo, ristorantino tipico gestito dal padre Marrabbio. Un giorno durante un acquazzone Licia incontra per caso Andrea, un bambino che frequenta l’asilo, scappato di casa col suo gatto Giuliano, e si prende cura di loro. Poco dopo, mentre cammina per strada, si scontra con Mirko, il fratello maggiore di Andrea, nonché leader e cantante del gruppo dei Bee Hive, preoccupato per la scomparsa del fratellino. Dopo un primo momento d’attrito, tra i due nasce un’amicizia destinata a tramutarsi in amore. Ma le cose non sono così semplici perché Licia ha anche una mezza storia d’amore con il tastierista del gruppo di Mirko, Satomi; tanto che tra i due sorgerà presto una grande rivalità che comprometterà il successo della band.
